Spanish Mortgages by Banco Sabadell Atlantico
When you take out a Spanish mortgage with Banco Sabadell, you are doing so with the fourth largest banking and investment group in Spain. Made up of several 'arms' of the business, Banco Sabadell is the parent company of brands such as Solbank, Sabadell Atlantico, Banco Herrero, Banco Privado and Activobank.
This huge banking corporation can offer some of the best Spanish mortgage and finance packages and products in the country.
There are initially three different types of mortgage products offered by Banco Sabadell:
Personal Mortgage
You pay the same monthly repayment consistently throughout the life of the mortgage.
Mixed Mortgage
This mortgage has a fixed low rate for the first four years, safeguarding your loan for the short to long-term against possible rate increases. After this initial period, your mortgage will be adapted to the current market interest rate and will be revised annually.
Fixed Rate Mortgage
You enjoy a lower interest rate during the first year and have your Mortgage repayments revised annually according to the interest rates in force at the time.
Banco Sabadell Atlantico will offer an initial mortgage covering the purchase of the Spanish property and then at a later date can be approached for a further personal loan for such things as home improvements to the purchase of a car. There is the obvious advantage of a much lower % of interest on this further loan compared to other personal loan products offered elsewhere. The interest rates will be set against either of the following reference indexes:
- IRPHce: Reference Rate for Mortgage Loans (for all lenders) published by the Bank of Spain
- EURIBOR: European Interbank Offered Rate, published by the European Central Bank.
